Tom Balderston is a General Partner at Bullish, an early-stage consumer investment firm focused on backing culturally driven brands at the earliest stages of their development. Bullish invests in pre-seed through Series A consumer companies where brand, strategy, and storytelling are critical drivers of long-term value creation.
Balderston brings more than 20 years of experience in consumer investing and has managed over 60 early-stage investments across multiple funds. His track record includes several IPOs—such as Peloton, Warby Parker, and Casper—as well as notable acquisitions including Hu Products (acquired by Mondelēz), Care/of (acquired by Bayer), and Nom Nom (acquired by Mars, Inc.).
As a member of Bullish’s leadership team, Balderston is responsible for Limited Partner engagement, investment sourcing, fund operations, and partnering with portfolio companies through key growth and scaling inflection points.
Prior to joining Bullish, Balderston worked in consumer-focused investment banking and private equity, building a career centered on evaluating, financing, and scaling high-growth consumer businesses.
