Lecturer and Head of the Finance Certificate Program at MIT Sloan School of Management

Stephen Mehos is a Lecturer and Head of the Finance Certificate Program at MIT Sloan School of Management, a position he has held since 2025.  Prior to assuming his role at MIT, Steve worked for over 30 years in investment banking and leveraged finance.  His most recent role in banking was at Macquarie Capital where he led the firm’s Debt Capital Markets businesses for the Americas and Europe. Steve also ran Lehman Brothers and Barclays' industrial leveraged finance practices.

During his career, Steve originated, structured and executed leveraged loan, bridge and high yield transactions in support of financial sponsor leveraged buyouts, corporate acquisitions, recapitalizations and refinancings.
