Matt is an experienced LP and allocator with over 20 years in private markets. He started his career at Hamilton Lane, holding various roles across the organization during its early growth phase. Since then, he has led investment programs and teams at institutions including Hirtle Callaghan, a large independent OCIO, and MetLife Investment Management. He was also one of the first non-founder hires at fintech start-up Allocate, where he built the investment program from the ground up. Over his career, Matt has deployed over $6 billion in capital and has had oversight of more than 600 GP relationships.
Currently, Matt holds several advisory positions spanning start-ups, asset management firms, and fund of funds, including as a managing director at BFA Global Investors, an Australian-based asset manager focused on providing investors in the region with access to US private investment opportunities. He also manages an advisory practice, where he provides GPs with strategic guidance on LP management, investor relations as well as fund and firm building.
Matt is a graduate of DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, where he captained the tennis team (and somehow still has his name in the record books). He resides in suburban Philadelphia with his wife.
