A proven investor in public and private markets, Archan focuses on the key questions that investors face: macro strategy, plan design, risk budgeting, asset allocation and vehicle/manager selection. His work spans asset classes (public, private and synthetic), methodologies (quant, macro/fundamental, data science, manager diligence) and the globe.

Most recently as Deputy CIO of Cresset Capital, Archan helped drive the firm’s expansion from $11 billion to $27 billion in client assets, inclusive of multiple mergers. Previously he led portfolio guidance at Fidelity Institutional, served as global head of portfolio construction at the JP Morgan Private Bank (overseeing $170 billion in discretionary portfolios), and led strategic asset allocation at Bernstein (whose private client assets grew from $45 billion to $90 billion over his tenure.) Archan also founded, ran and sold a venture-backed wealth tech SaaS firm that grew under his tenure to handle $65 billion in client assets across 60,000 accounts, and is now known as Vestmark.

Archan holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School and an AB in Applied Math from Harvard University.
